Since its founding, the group SLAVIA CAPITAL has regularly supported major events in art, sport and education. Charities and the promotion of excellence and talent are the common denominator of corporate philanthropy. Amongst many unique events supported in the past are:
Support for Paralympians (2014)
PALMA, a.s., became the general partner of the Slovak Paralympic Committee for 2014. The PALMA brand, with its long-term tradition and success on the Slovak market, aims to be a strong supporter of the Slovak Paralympic Team. The mutual cooperation between the Slovak Paralympic Committee and the PALMA brand is aimed at helping our sportsmen and sportswomen gain medals and awards at global sporting events, as well as spreading the good image of the entire country.
Support of a Professional Financial Book (2014)
Education, knowledge and experience are the key competitive advantages on the labour market. The SLAVIA CAPITAL Group has therefore established cooperation with the University of Economics in Bratislava, providing financial support for the publication of a book entitled “Financial Markets – Instruments and Transactions”. This significant book for students entails a comprehensive summary of the functioning of the financial market, its growth and new trends facing it.
Festival Istropolitana Projekt (2012)
The SLAVIA CAPITAL investment group supported the 19th international festival of young theatre artists under the title of the Istropolitana Project. This event has been organised by the Theatre Faculty of VŠMU (Academy of Performing Arts) since 1977 every other year and creates a platform for meetings between future theatre professionals and prominent authorities of the performing art schools, the audience and colleagues. Raven statuettes were awarded to winners in individual categories. Over the course of the festival´s history, more than 84 schools all over the world have had the opportunity to present themselves and around 200 inspiring performances have been put on. Even such personalities as Buz Luhrmann (the director of Romeo and Juliet as well as Moulin Rouge) or Barbora Bobuľová (an actress, currently in Italy, and a graduate of the Theatre Faculty of VŠMU) started their career at the festival.

Sport team “Plameňáci Snina” (2008 – 2006)
Perspective young generation represents a solid base of each society. SLAVIA CAPITAL investment group decided to support young volleyball players from the city of Snina who organized international volleyball tournament known as JUPRI CUP. The volleyball players from Snina effectively wrestled with other international teams.

King of thieves movie (2005 – 2004)
On the 5th of march 2005, this film received 4 film awards from the Czech Film Academy for the year 2004 – the Czech Lion in the categories for best sound, camera, music and for the lead male act playing the main hero Yasha Kultiasova. The film King of Thieves also received the top award from the 36th film festival of Oty Hofman 2004 "Crystal Chatons." In addition to this, it also won the "Zlaty Dudek" award for best young male who played the role of the hero. The film was also intended as an Oscar nominee for best foreign language film 2004 and at the film festival in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, it won the audience award.
General partner of the men’s tennis team at the DAVIS CUP tournament (2005 – 2004)
Throughout many years, SLAVIA CAPITAL was the general partner of the sporting event of the year - the DAVIS CUP tournament. Slovakia recorded its best result to date in the DAVIS CUP, the most important competition of representing teams in men’s tennis, with entry into the final of 2005.

Concert Montserrat Caballé in Bratislava (2000)
In 2000, the Opera diva and fascinating Spanish sopranist Montserrat Caballé accepted an invitation from SLAVIA CAPITAL. On the stage of the Slovak National Theatre, she performed an almost 2 hour joint concert with Opera singer Peter Dvorský. The unique concert performance of two Opera stars was broadcast on the Slovak Television channel, as the new year concert in its first program of the year.
